Kevon Bagot, or Coach KB as his team refers to him, is in his third year as physical education teacher and Head Coach of the varsity football team at The Village School. Coach KB attended Louisiana Tech University for undergrad, where he was a member of the football team and starting offensive lineman. He also went on to earn his Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. Once he graduated, he pursued and earned his Masters at Concordia University Irvine in Coaching and Athletic Administration.
Since his time at Village, our boy’s varsity football team has had a winning record each season, and made it to the TAPPS 6A Independent State Championship game two consecutive years. He definitely has the program moving in the right direction and that is a testament to his organization and knowledge as a coach and motivator for our students.
When we asked him what his favorite thing about The Village School was, he said he “loves the diversity that Village offers, the opportunity for growth within the campus, and the opportunity I have here to impact young athletes.”
