About the role

Join our fast-paced international environment, and you will deliver International Baccalaureate programmes. You will challenge your students to set ambitious targets for themselves and seek out and implement innovative teaching practices to enhance the student experience and outcomes. As an MYP Design teacher you will need to possess knowledge and experience in any field of Design, for example Computer aided design such as Auto Desk/AutoCAD, Resistance Materials (such as textile or wood), Animation/Graphic design, Computer aided manufacturing; 3Dprinting, laser cutting, engraving.

 

About you

Able to create a classroom culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved, you will have a degree in your specialist subject, a teaching qualification plus considerable teaching experience and knowledge of the curriculum. You will be able to produce differentiated materials for students of all ability levels. Receptive to feedback and ready to embrace change, you will be keen to share best practice with colleagues and peers. You should be IT literate to a high level in order to support the students in presentation and management of projects and support MYP requirements. You will be willing to innovate with a progressive attitude to explore areas where new technologies can be applied to traditional processes.

A strong ambassador for the school, you will be able to develop new ways to engage students and parents with the wider school and Nord Anglia Education community. Your strong motivation and communication skills will also enable you to create a feeling of energy, excitement and personal investment within the classroom. You will provide effective and proactive IB teaching and learning to students participating in the subject area ensuring that lessons are based on clear learning objectives and that all students make progress. You will also ensure that planning, preparation, recording, assessment and reporting meet students’ varying learning and social needs and be flexible and adjust to the needs of the school, actively contributing to its development and growth.

Selection Process

The closing date for application is the 30th October 2020 although we reserve the right to hire before if we find the ideal candidate. Interviews will be conducted initially by Skype or telephone.
