Cross-campus Russian poetry recital competition Year 3 and Year 4!

This term, the Department of Modern Foreign Languages hosted the annual Russian Poetry Recital Competition for Year 3 and Year 4 students. The cross-campus event celebrated the talents we have in our school, challenging our students to test not only their memory but also their artistic skills.

Since humans are social creatures, it is a well-known fact that one needs to have a good command of the language to succeed in life. But language proficiency alone doesn't guarantee efficient communication. The way we move, articulate words and sounds, demonstrate our emotions or even make pauses is vital for our development. Poetry is an exceptional tool to refine all that.

For the competition, the participants had to choose one of the proposed poems by well-known Russian children's poets and perform it in class. The top students from Krylatskoe Lower and Rosinka campuses competed in the whole school final. The young poets managed to captivate the audience with their favourite enchanting poems.
