  • DCIS Under 11 Boys Division 2 Football Team

The first match against Nexus was a difficult start for the Lions as the opponents applied significant pressure from the whistle. The boys were unlucky hitting both the cross bar and post but in the first half couldn't find the net. Nexus came back strong scoring 2 goals but with determination and persistence the Lions pulled one back.
Final result: 2-1 to Nexus.

The Second match was against GEMS, The boys got off to a perfect start scoring 3 goals in the first half. A few substitutions and tactical arrangements where made in the second half. GEMS started to apply more pressure but an excellent defensive display from Tsubasa and Brian made this difficult for them to get a shot on target.
Final result: 3-0 to DCIS Lions.

The Final match came against CIS. The boys began to gel as each match went on and this was displayed clearly in this game. Some great individual pieces of skill from Haru who made the CIS defense work hard and showed immense talent chipping the goal keeper and making complex things look easy.
Final result: 7-0 to DCIS Lions.

Well done boys and a special well-done to Kalen who stepped up to play in goal when Billy was out sick.
