This involved demonstrating maths mastery lessons to other teachers and being involved in research projects across South East London. As part of a teacher exchange project with Shanghai based teachers, my interest in adapting what I had learned from this unique experience led me to accept a post with Nord Anglia’s British School of Shanghai (Puxi).
My first experience of the British School of Guangzhou was through my involvement in organising our first Nord Anglia Academic Olympiad, hosted at BSG in 2019. Being part of an enthusiastic and passionate team of teachers inspired me to explore the school in more depth, and two months later I found myself accepting an offer to transfer! I am looking forward to working with the incredible staff at BSG and know that I will be able to continue pushing myself to greater heights in the coming years.
I have always enjoyed the idea of travelling the world and experiencing different cultures. In my second year of university I was able to spend half a year in Denmark studying the Danish education system, and it was here that I gained a taste for not only visiting other countries but living in them. I enjoy cycling, reading (mostly comics or science fiction) and playing video games. While in Guangzhou, I intend to take full advantage of the avid cycling communities to explore the area. I come from a large family and have two brothers and two sisters, and recently a niece and a nephew. I’m looking forward to a time where I’ll be able to continue sharing my experiences in China with them.
