BA(hons), PGCE
I am a fully-qualified and experienced Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) teacher, with many years of experience in British schools. I have danced in a variety of styles from the age of four and competed for twelve years, in which time I was European Dance Champion for Hip-Hop and England Dance Champion for Musical Theatre dance. I attended a performing arts school in Britain at Birmingham Ormiston Academy, and gained A* grades in ballet, contemporary, jazz, modern and hip-hop.
I gained a BA Honors Degree in Dance Studies at the University of Roehampton, London, studying many different contemporary techniques, including Martha Graham, Jose Limon, Merce Cunningham and Rambert. Following this, I completed my Postgraduate degree and teaching qualification at the Royal Academy of Dance and the University of Bath. I learnt and taught the RAD syllabus for three years following this, whilst working in a Secondary school as Head of Dance and Deputy Head of PE in London.
Upon securing a place at a Nord Anglia Bilingual School in Shanghai, I moved to China where I currently teach RAD dance to a variety of ages. Outside of teaching, I love to participate in most sports, including netball and football. The decision to move to Guangzhou was heavily influenced by the reputation of BSG and the job role specifically.
