Assistant Head Primary (Our School)

BA (hons), PGCE

After completing my degree in English and Psychology, I volunteered at a primary school which ignited my passion for working with children. I completed the Graduate Teacher Programme through the University of Wolverhampton and began my first teaching post as a Year 1/2 teacher in 2008.

In 2009, I took up my second post at Tillington Manor Primary School in Stafford as a Year 6 teacher. I enjoyed 8 years teaching across Key Stage 1 and 2. I also took on the role of ICT Lead, Educational Visits Lead, Online Safety Lead and was also a member of the Safeguarding team. I particularly enjoyed implementing a new Computing scheme of work and upskilling staff in the teaching of IT. It was at this stage in my career that I decided to make the move to international teaching.

I love working at BSG and being a part of such an amazing staff. Having previously held posts as Student Welfare and Curriculum Lead, I firmly believe that we provide opportunities for all students to be ambitious and aim high in all areas of school life, both socially and academically.

Outside of school I am a keen swimmer and love to travel. Although I also love to relax at home with a good book!
