Recently, our newly formed BISB Community Links club were given the opportunity to grow together as a community and help others through our first ever annual BISB 1% Charity Fair.
Last Thursday, forty Secondary students travelled to the Eotvos 10 Theatre for a night of performing live music. The jazz band, choir, rock band, Key Stage 3 and 4 soloists and ensembles, and even a few staff performed a variety of Soul and Motown hits.
In order to support and further define our Code of Conduct that is already in place at BISB, we have adopted a behaviour management philosophy known as Restorative Approaches.
Brothers Elliott (Year 2) and Lennox (year 4) took part in a Chess tournament in Budapest and did extremely well. BISB is proud to be represented by these students!
Children from the Early Years Centre went on a field trip to the Széchenyi Chain Bridge, affectionately known by them as “The Lion Bridge”.
For a full report on this trip, the creating of the mascots, the measuring of the bridge, the creation of an eBook about ‘Our Budapest’ and the reflection upon their experiences, read more below.
Our whole school community pulled together to mount the first ever ISTA Drama Festival at BISB last week. The scale and complexity of organising such an event necessitated students, teachers and parents pitching in to do their part. None of this would have been possible of course without the help of our wonderful host families, cleaners, bus drivers, cooks, admin staff and technical gurus. It truly was a joint effort.
