From Mrs. Jacqueline Smith - Assistant Head of Secondary and Head of Sixth Form

There is a lot of incredible work that goes on amongst our fabulous students. During this year I would like to take this opportunity from time to time to introduce and highlight some of our amazing student. So I shall now hand over to one of Ms. Eeckelers tutor group 12A:

My name is Sandor Hajzer and I am 16 years old. I am in Year twelve and have been part of the BISB community since year 10. Before I came here I was studying in Budapest in a local school and during that time I had a fantastic opportunity to travel to Singapore and study in an International school there for a year.

I would like to talk about my experiences with Unicef – Which is an organization that focuses on the wellbeing of children. Unicef strives for the survival, protection and the rights of children worldwide.  I have been very active in Unicef for many years.

Recently I became the Ambassador of Childrens’ Rights. Some of my duties in this role include being one of the faces of Unicef here in Hungary and regularly sending reports about children’s rights to the UN and raising awareness of children’s’ rights. I am a UNICEF activist and I volunteer not for honor, but to fight for the children in the hope of a better world.

I am really looking forward to working in my role with the BISB community here during my time in the Sixth Form.
