The U14 football squad have worked tirelessly in training over the past few weeks in preparation for the tournament in the hope of positive rewards at the full time whistle.

Some fantastic performances ensured that both our squads successfully navigated the difficult round robin section of the tournament to progress to the next stage.  However, mixed fortunes lay ahead for our teams in the semi-finals. BISBu1 had a convincing victory to ensure a place in the final against Vienna International School.  Unfortunately, it was a step too far for BISBu2, who went on to compete in the 3/4th playoff.

The earlier games had unfortunately taken their toll on the teams’ stamina. BISBu2 finished a respectable 4th place, a commendable position considering the large number of inexperienced players in the squad. For BISBu1, despite a valiant effort in the final, the result was not what the squad or the large home support had hoped for the boys. BISBu1 collected the 2nd place trophy.

The squad now enter the close of season with cause for optimism and the task of sustaining their efforts to earn a place in the squad for the U14 ENASA tournament in Warsaw (Spring 2018).
