Today Year 4 had a very special visitor. Anita Ugyan who was the first Hungarian woman to reach the summit of Mount Everest.
She spoke to them as part of their topic "Adventurers & Explorers". To have a climber of the calibre of Anita share her experiences and answer questions from the students was truly fantastic!
Students have been engaged in a narrative writing project based on the series "The Climb and The Summit” by Gordon Korman and "Shackleton’s Journey” by William Grill. This topic has been an opportunity for our students to learn more about the history of exploration and how it has changed over time.
