One of our Year 7 groups has just started a new topic entitled Simple Chemical Reactions, and what better way to start by exploring them in a circus of experiments!
From burning magnesium or adding it to hydrochloric acid to heating copper carbonate and creating copper oxide, students had to identify how they knew a reaction was happening. This could be by seeing colour changes, gas being evolved, light being emitted or any other observations. All students acted in a very safe manner and I’m sure, are looking forward to more experiments in the future.
