Amy Christman our Music Specialist from Juilliard visited our Performing Arts Department at the beginning of this week. Amy was involved in a range of curriculum lessons across the school, working with some of our younger students in Year 1 and Year 2 enabling them to create original accompaniments using short rhythmic patterns to accompany Vivaldi’s solo violin material. Amy also worked alongside our Year 7 and Year 8 students running workshops that allowed students to identify descriptive movement words and experiment with word-painting techniques to magnify their qualities musically. Alongside supporting our students with curriculum learning, Amy supported students in rehearsals with our Senior Vocal Group, assembly singing with Year 4-6 and rehearsals for our school musical, Beauty and the Beast. It has been a busy but rewarding few days and we would like to say a thank you to Amy for all her support.

From BISB Team: At The British International School Budapest, we strongly believe that a child's early experiences, relationships, opportunities and surroundings shape who they become in the future.
Today, our Primary students transformed the school into a powerful window into the past with their impressive World War II Exhibition.
