Craig graduated with a BA in Sociology & Social Policy from University of Leeds and received his iPGCE from University of Derby. He first started teaching more than ten years ago when he took a teaching position for a charitable organisation helping adults with learning difficulties improve their reading and writing abilities. He took this role as he wanted to do something beneficial for society and to help improve people's lives. This is why he enjoys teaching, helping people make progress, and seeing those improvements come to fruition.
Craig came to China in 2017 and worked for a UNESCO certified kindergarten before joining BSB Shunyi in 2022. Working with young children has been very rewarding and also fun. Every day he comes to work happy and leave happy. It is a career Craig is continuing to study and gain further certification in. It is a very rewarding role wherein every day is different, with new sets of challenges, and endless job satisfaction and joy.
Craig lovs travelling to different countries and meeting people. Previously he has travelled solo across Southeast Asia for three months, and have been to, and made friends in, many European countries. In his spare time he enjoys cooking and going on long bike rides. On an amateur level he enjoys re-editing movies, and has also tried making a small video game recently which enabled him to not only be artistic, but also learned basic programming skills, design, and how to use several different computer programmes. He is a keen reader and is currently reading The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
