Liam Allen is a dedicated and experienced Physical Education teacher with a passion for student development. He holds a BA (Hons) degree in Sports Development from Leeds Metropolitan University and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) from the University of Nottingham. His educational background has equipped him with both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise to create engaging, inclusive, and purposeful physical education experiences for his students.
With over a decade of teaching experience in China, Liam has taught in both Nanjing and Beijing, working with diverse student populations across a range of age groups and abilities. Throughout his career, he has been committed to nurturing students’ holistic growth, supporting not only their physical progress but also their emotional, mental, and social development. His approach reflects a deep understanding of the role physical education plays in shaping well-rounded, confident, and resilient individuals.
Liam’s teaching philosophy centers on fostering a lifelong love for movement and activity. He believes that physical education extends far beyond developing skills or fitness; it is a platform for instilling core values such as teamwork, perseverance, and self-discipline. By creating a positive, supportive, and motivating environment, Liam encourages students to challenge themselves, celebrate progress, and recognise the joy of active living.
Outside the classroom, Liam enjoys staying active through his own participation in sport. He is an enthusiastic football and basketball player, valuing these activities not only for fitness but also for the camaraderie and teamwork they bring. His personal passion for sport continues to inspire his teaching and his commitment to promoting healthy, active lifestyles among his students.
