Tom studied at the University of Birmingham, UK. He has an undergraduate degree in Environmental Management and Technology, an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and an M.Ed. In Educational Research. He is licensed to teach in the US and the UK. He has been teaching in Beijing for over 10 years now. He was drawn to working at BSB, Shunyi because he sought a school that promotes holistic learning experiences through innovative practices. He believes learning should be challenging, fun and transferrable.
Tom grew up in the Southwest of the UK with his three brothers. He is passionate about the environment and sustainability. He enjoys travelling, nature and inline skating.
