BSG Guangzhou Scholarships 2025/26
The English department at the British International School Puxi recently organized a performance poetry competition for Years 7-12 on March 21st to celebrate National Poetry Day. This was a collaborative event amongst Nord Anglia schools in China region, and we're excited to share that the British School of Guangzhou students won the KS3 regional Poetry Slam!
Brandon from Year 8 won the Performance Poetry Winner 1st place with his poem 'Time Bomb', and Wendy from Year 7 won the Performance Poetry Comedy Winner 1st place with her hilarious piece 'Love Brain'. Students used their knowledge of poetic techniques and focused on creating an emotional impact on their audience while performing live. The other schools loved the video recordings of the performances uploaded by our participants.
We want to commend all the participants for their impressive talent and effort that contributed to this fantastic event. Congratulations to the winners, who demonstrated great confidence, competence, and eloquence in their final performances!
