Exciting news from The British School of Guangzhou! - Exciting news from The British School of Guangzhou

Last week, our dedicated teachers and leaders travelled to Shanghai for the Nord Anglia China International Schools Leadership Conference, focusing on "planning for the probable, while considering the possible."

Why does this matter to your child? Because we're committed to providing the best possible education! Our team spent days learning about cutting-edge educational practices, ensuring our students receive an even richer learning experience.

Here’s a glimpse of what they explored:

  • AI in Education

We're exploring how technology can personalize learning and enhance your child's educational journey.

  • Zones of Regulation & Metacognition

We're focusing on strategies to help students understand their emotions and develop effective learning habits, leading to greater self-awareness and academic success.

  • Active Learning

We’re bringing back new techniques to make lessons more engaging and interactive, so your child stays motivated and excited about learning.

  • Effective Marking and Feedback

We’re refining our feedback methods to provide clear, actionable guidance, helping your child grow and improve.

  • Bilingualism

We are continuing to improve and refine our bilingual education, to give your children a strong foundation in both English and Mandarin.

  • High performance Sport

We are improving our ability to deliver high quality sports programs for all students.

We're incredibly proud of our teachers, Andrew Esdaile, Chad Hayward, Sophie Costello, Tim Richardson, Laura Williams, Kerry Millar & Cam Maunder, who shared their expertise by leading workshops for other schools! Their dedication ensures our students benefit from the latest and most effective teaching methods.
