BSG at 20: A Celebration of Excellence and Community

Last Friday and Saturday, The British School of Guangzhou marked its 20th Anniversary with pride, energy, and community spirit.

Friday began with a formal ceremony attended by esteemed guests from diplomatic missions in Guangzhou, international and local businesses, chambers of commerce, former school leaders, current staff, students, and parents. Together, we reflected on two decades of achievement and honoured the people who shaped our journey. We paid tribute to long-serving staff and families and thanked the many consulates, businesses, and organisations that have supported our growth and success.

Saturday was all about fun and togetherness. Over 2,500 families and friends joined us for a vibrant celebration. The day opened with a spectacular 20-year parade, as staff and students proudly carried flags representing the year they joined BSG and danced with enthusiasm that lifted everyone’s spirits. The campus buzzed with carnival games, teacher-led activities, and outstanding student performances. Special thanks to the PSG choir and staff band for keeping the atmosphere lively.
