Finding Nemo Kids - Celebrating Talent and Teamwork

Our production of Finding Nemo Kids has been a true celebration of dedication, talent, and teamwork across our school community. With over 100 pupils auditioning in August, the enthusiasm was clear from the very beginning. Following a highly competitive process, 60 pupils were selected to take part, embarking on an exciting journey that began with rehearsals in September.

Each rehearsal ran for two hours, with both pupils and staff generously giving their time and energy beyond the school day. Week by week, confidence grew, characters developed, and the story came to life. The cast also proudly performed at International Day, giving the wider community a glimpse of the hard work and excitement behind the production while promoting the show.

The experience of performing on stage offers invaluable benefits. It nurtures confidence, resilience, and collaboration, while helping pupils develop communication skills and a sense of responsibility. For many, it is also an opportunity to discover new passions and step outside their comfort zones.

Our pupils themselves captured this journey best. One pupil playing Marlin shared, “It was challenging at first but it was fun. The teachers were incredibly supportive and I loved the experience.” Meanwhile, our Professor Ray reflected, “The rehearsals were fun and I now love acting.”

We are immensely proud of every pupil involved. Their commitment, courage, and enthusiasm have not only created a fantastic production, but also lasting memories and skills that will stay with them well beyond the stage.
