This week has seen the start of all our Extra Curricular Activities (ECAs) with an amazing variety of 50 different clubs for the children to choose from.

It is a complex process to allow the children to make their choices in class with their teachers, after you as parents have discussed these choices with them. We aim to ensure the children get at as many of their first choice ECAs and in most cases the children do all three. It is a credit to some children that when they see their first choice full, they graciously look for, and choose, a different one. This is often not too difficult a choice though with the array of clubs available, most of which are provided by our enthusiastic staff.  We are very fortunate to be so close to Royal City too as we are also able to offer ice-skating and Bowling as ECAs.

Our philosophy is very much that the children should enjoy a range of clubs and learn things that may be new to them; if you have not had a go at something, you may not know if you like it or are good at it!  As the Yo-Yo master who visited us this week said, “Find something you like, stick at it and you don’t know where it will take you.” His practice and skills have taken him all over the world – who knows where in the world our children will go with their new learnt skills, which may just have started during one of BVIS Hanoi’s ECAs.
