Mr. Simon Higham, Principal

Dear Parents

Welcome back to school for Term 2 and the first Weekly Highlights of 2022.

A WONDERFUL START OF TERM II 2022

On behalf of everyone at BVIS, I would like to wish you all a very happy and prosperous New Year and extend a very warm welcome to all of our new families who are joining us for the very first time. In addition, welcome back to our families whose children are reconnecting with our Virtual School Experience, in prepartion for what we hope will be face to face learning for all children, very soon.

10 years of BVIS

10 years uom m

The year 2021 signified a remarkable milestone in the history of our school as we celebrated our 10th anniversary.

Looking back, it is astonishing how BVIS has grown in such a short period of time, establishing both a reputation for high quality learning and exceptional student and community care. Like myself, we should all be very proud of where we have come and be excited about what opportunities are still to come.

New Aide Memoire

BVIS has a clear identity, vision and culture that has developed across each and every year of its operation. Leading the way in delivering the best quality bilingual international education, we look forward to even more successes in the next 10 years and beyond.

Weekly Highlights 07/01/2022 BVIS HCMC | Nord Anglia - weekly-highlights-07-01-2022As part of our 10-year journey we are delighted to share with you a special edition of BVIS's story that was shared recently on VN Express media news.

Please take time to read this through with your children and take a moment to reflect upon what your memorable moments have been as part of the BVIS community.

Please note that if you have yet to complete the survey, there is still time to do so through this link which will stay live until 31st January.

We are still awaiting the winners of the first Primary class to achieve a 100% rate to receive their special prize. Could this be your child’s class?

Farewell and Thank You Mr Lowry

As outlined in my letter to all parents on Tuesday, this week we have said goodbye to Mr Lowry, who sadly passed away on Monday following a serious illness.

Farewell and Thank You Mr Lowry

Mr Lowry began working at BVIS HCMC in August 2012 and was in his 10th year with our school. He was the Head of Sixth Form and an integral part of the Business and Economics faculty. He was a dedicated, warm and friendly person who was well respected and well loved by his colleagues and the students he taught.

Mr Lowry gave so much to BVIS HCMC over the last 10 years of his teaching career and for this, we will always be extremely thankful.

Our deepest condolences go to Mr Lowry’s family and friends at this difficult time.

We are well supported by Mr Curran, our Head of Safeguarding, Welfare and Guidance and Mr Shooter, Secondary Deputy Head (Pastoral) whose teams will ensure that both staff and students have all of the necessary support required.

Goodbye Mr Lowry, although you’re gone, you’ll never be forgotten.

Thank you for taking time to read through this Week’s Highlights and have both a safe and enjoyable weekend ahead.

Safeguarding and Child Protection

The health, safety and wellbeing of our students remains the number one priority at BVIS HCMC.
