GREAT JOURNEYS START WITH SMALLS STEPS AT BVIS HCMC
The BVIS HCMC Head Students and Student Council Presidents attended the FOBISIA Student Leadership Conference hosted by Shrewsbury International School, Bangkok Riverside.
Throughout the conference the students attended a collection of bespoke workshops, presentations from specially invited speakers and participated in activities that were designed to inspire and challenge them to think critically and creatively about leadership.
The three days were constructed to start with an entrepreneurial Race4Good activity led in person by Linda Cruse, CEO of Frontline First and her team.
Saturday was the “I” day, considering self-leadership. The theme for Sunday was “We” and was focused on leadership of others. The conference culminated in a ‘speed coaching’ session where the students’ booked personalised coaching sessions with one of the wonderful, invited leaders. This was an opportunity to ask those burning questions and for the students to consider their own leadership journey alongside that of an established leader.
The winning Race4Good team was the Wild Wallet project. Outstanding contributions from our Student Council Presidents, Kevin and Minh and Hanoi Head Student, Nancy (Year 12). The Wild Wallet project has been launched immediately in Qaanaaq. “Think globally, act locally! Be the change!”
It’s time for our Secondary School students to show their dance talent, team up with friends, ignite the Christmas spirit and light up the stage with their dynamic moves!
