My Tran, Academic Year 2023: Outstanding Success with Admissions to Three American Universities and Over 6.9 Billion VND in Scholarships .
During the competitive 2024 admission season, My Tran (Sie), a Year 13 student at BVIS, received exciting news of acceptance from several major American universities with a total scholarship amount of over 6.9 billion VND.

As an outstanding student with an impressive extracurricular record and excellent academic achievements, it was no surprise that these universities' admissions committees chose My Tran.
In addition, My Tran is a singer in the Saigon House leadership band and has interned in market research and business management at the marketing firm LAFS.

When asked about her reasons for pursuing a business career, My Tran shared, "Since I was four years old, I've had a deep passion for business and entrepreneurship. I used to sell my grandmother's avocados and coloured paper to raise money for meaningful causes."
With a clear passion for and desire to study International Finance and Economics at university, My Tran chose to study four A Level subjects: Mathematics, Business, Media studies, and Psychology after completing the IGCSE International High School programme in Years 10-11.
At BVIS, the Business curriculum allowed her to explore business management from Year 10 onward. This comprehensive education provided My Tran with a solid foundation and practical knowledge, fueling her enthusiasm for business. The school also offered extensive career counselling sessions, helping My Tran find a specific direction in the business world.

"I had many helpful conversations with Ms. Dung, the University and College Counsellor at BVIS. Her advice played a crucial role in developing my career ambitions and helping me navigate my choice of major. Thanks to the support from my family and BVIS, I feel well-prepared as I make decisions about my university studies."
As a result, My Tran chose A Level subjects that include Mathematics, Business Studies, Media studies, and Psychology. These subjects provide not only exciting challenges but also help her expand her understanding of effective business management, from human resource coordination and capital management to the factors that make entrepreneurs successful.

The combination of academic learning and practical application has allowed her to delve deeper into subjects like Communications, with opportunities to explore the production process of films and music videos, understand the use of cameras, and analyse how producers convey messages through their work. This practical experience has not only solidified her knowledge but also nurtured her curiosity and critical thinking skills.
Furthermore, My Tran actively participated in extracurricular activities throughout her four years at the school and was one of the five founders of the "Gac Do" project fanpage, which has over 15,000 likes and 16,000 followers. These activities have enabled her to combine her leadership skills with her interests, making meaningful contributions to the community in Vietnam.

My Tran believes that "Adventure only comes to the brave," a saying that perfectly reflects her bold spirit in pursuing her passions and conquering life's challenges.
Congratulations to My Tran, and we wish her an exciting academic journey in the United States!
