A Letter from our Principal

Dear Parents and Students,

I am delighted to welcome you to the new academic year at The British School of Beijing, Shunyi. We are excited to see you return to us and are looking forward to another year of great successes.

Our new term starts on Monday 25 August 2014 at 8:25 AM, and the school day ends at 3:30 PM.

This letter will explain details for our Orientation Day, which will be held on Friday, 22 August 2014.

As with previous years, on Orientation Day you will be able to organise everything you need to start the new term, such as purchasing new school uniform items, checking school bus arrangements, update contact details and renew medical information. You will also have the opportunity to meet with your children’s new teachers.

Primary School families who wish to attend may choose to come in either the morning or the afternoon.

For Secondary school families, we invite all Year 7 students (new or returning) and new families from Year 8-11 to the morning session.

The schedule for the day is:

MORNING SESSION (Friday 22nd August)

Families arrive – refreshments available, uniform shop open

Secondary students go to classrooms to meet tutors

Welcome talk by Principal and introduction to the Secondary Leadership Team (Secondary Parents) - Theatre

Welcome talk by Principal and introduction to the Primary Leadership Team (Primary Parents) – Theatre

Primary families go to classrooms to meet class teachers (from 10.15 onwards)

Secondary parents meet their children in classrooms

Morning session ends

AFTERNOON SESSION (Friday 22nd August)
(Primary and German Primary School parents only)

Families arrive – refreshments available, uniform shop open

Welcome talk by Principal and introduction to Leadership Team – Theatre

Families go to classrooms to meet class teachers

Afternoon session ends
