We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child/children formally to our school and of course, to the wider BSB community. We hope that you will all be very happy and successful during your time at BSB.
School will start at 8.25 am on Tuesday 21st August 2018, for all students. However, we cordially invite families that are new to BSB, families transitioning Year 6 to Year 7 and those moving from Year 11 to Year 12 to join us for a family induction morning, from 8.45 am to 12pm on Monday 20th August.
During the induction morning we are aiming to check personal contact information, provide an opportunity to tour the school, issue parent badges, visit the uniform shop, arrange for students to meet their class teacher/tutor and Head of Year and to meet with other new families. Staff from all sections of the secondary section of BSB will be on hand to answer any question, including the arrangements for the first day. There will be an opportunity for students to meet with Heads of Year and their Tutors, who will have principal responsibility for their settling in and well-being.
We would encourage all families who are new to the Secondary section of BSB to attend the induction programme so that as many students meet others, in their tutor. Please enter by the School’s main entrance where you will be greeted by BSB staff.
Students are not required to wear uniform for induction Day.
Our Chatterbox Café will be open for drinks and some snacks during the session and representatives from our Parent Association will also be on hand to welcome you to BSB.
