Please read the invitation below from Ms. Sarah Donnelly, Assistant Head of Secondary and IB Coordinator.
“Dear IB teachers and students,
I am delighted to be inviting you to a special event that celebrates the IB Arts at BSB: the IB Music Performance, and the IB Visual Art Exhibition. This is taking place on Thursday 25th March from 3.30-5.30pm. The event will begin with the Music Performances in theatre, and will then move onto the Visual Art Exhibition in the MPR where canapes and drinks will be available too. Please note that late buses have been organised to take you home afterwards.
To give you some context:
IB Music
As part of their assessment requirement for the IB, students must perform and record their pieces in front of a live audience. Having worked very hard in Music - and not just in these past two years but throughout their school career- our four talented IB Music students will be thrilled to have their peers and teachers there to share in their final project. Our four incredible musicians are Tyler Adams, David Chen, Alex Liu and Seb Van De Merwe.
IB Visual Art
As part of their assessment requirement for the IB, Visual Art students must create a final exhibition of their two years' worth of work. Quattuor, meaning four in Latin, is the number of order in the universe: the four elements of earth, air, fire, and water; the four seasons; the four points of the compass; the four phases of the Moon; the Four Noble Truths.
This year, we celebrate four incredible artists, so please join us to celebrate the exhibitions of Jenny Fu, Julienne Simbajon, Senate Letlatsa and Saraine Chan.
It will be a wonderful evening where we will get to marvel at the talents of these 8 amazing artists. I look forward to seeing you there!"
Ms. Sarah Donnelly, Assistant Head of Secondary and IB Coordinator.
