Year 10 International Award day trip

An IA trip to the Silver Pagodas temples near the Great Wall

  • International Award Logo

The British School of Beijing is pleased to be able to offer the opportunity for our Year 10 to go on an outdoor hike on Tuesday, September 13th.  The location will be the Silver Pagoda Mountain Park. The hike will be for 5 hours. The hike is partly run as an introduction for the new and existing Years 10 (new and existing members) to get to know each other outside the classroom. It is also to give the students an insight into the International Award / Duke of Edinburgh scheme. This is an activity that the Year 10 students are strongly encouraged to participate in.

The buses will leave the Shunyi campus at 8.30. We will be returning to Shunyi campus at 5.00 and then the bus will carry on too drop off students in the Wangjing area and at Sanlitun Primary School. The students are expected to make their own arrangements to get home from the 3 bus drop off locations. Students will need to bring a small ruck sack, snacks, three 1.5 litre bottles of water, suitable foot wear, sun cream, hat and a rain coat in case of rain.
