I studied Business Administration at the University of Central Lancashire, U.K. After graduating I studied an online TEFL and decided to teach English abroad to gain some good life experiences. Once I started teaching abroad, I fell in love with the profession and realised that teaching was a career I wanted to go into. I taught for two years in both China and Thailand and had amazing experiences.
As I am a very ambitious and passionate teacher, I decided to make the tough decision and leave my comfortable lifestyle abroad so I could go back to the United Kingdom to study a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) Primary Mathematics Specialist to improve my teaching ability, my understanding of how children learn best and my career prospects. This has really paid off because I have learnt a considerable amount during my PGCE Primary Mathematics Specialist course and it’s landed me a fantastic job at The British School of Beijing, Shunyi, an excellent school. I have graduated with the highest grade – Distinction, of which I am proud.
In my spare time I like to travel, go to the cinema and watch sport. I love Formula 1, football and rugby league. I am excited and lucky to be part of a great school and team! I know I will learn a lot from my colleagues and am excited to join such an experienced team. I really want to bring the best out of my pupils by making my lessons interesting and to inspire them to always try their best.
