I have a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Computing, and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) both from Morehead State University, USA. I have also completed my Postgraduate Diploma in Applied Educational Leadership and Management from University College London (UCL). Currently I am studying for my Graduate Diploma in Mathematics at London School of Economics and Social Science (LSE), expected to complete in 2024.
Born and raised in Sabah, Malaysia, part of the Borneo Island, I had been enjoying my first twenty years of my life there before I started my higher education journey in West Malaysia and then USA. I have been working in three countries (Malaysia, USA and China) as a teacher, as well as an administrator, where I had received recognitions and awards in teaching and leadership. Throughout the years, I have the opportunity to learn more about different educational system, and teach various syllabus, which included IGCSE, A-level (CIE), AP, IB MYP, IBDP, Singapore Math and Malaysian syllabus. In addition, I was also involved in guiding students in Math contest such as AMC 8, 10 and 12, Math Counts, CEMC, and Kangaroo.
Referred by my former colleague in Suzhou, Ms. Shahida, who is currently working in BSB; I have taken a closer and better look into the school; in which the culture and the “be ambitious”caught my attention. I am very grateful to be part of BSB, and looking forward to learn and grow together with the team.
I enjoy sports as a spectator for many years, but am planning to catch up with a few of my long lost favourite sports if possible upcoming years; besides pursuing my actuarial exams from SOA. I also enjoy theatre performance both as an audience and a participant (my last performance was almost 10 years ago). Anyway, now I am a father with a lovely girl and a husband with a wonderful wife; spending time with family has been my first priority past few years. We enjoy exploring cities especially bookstores, musuems, parks and natures. Beijing will be a great city for us to explore in the coming years.
