1. What is your podcast about?
It Is about how maths appears in our daily lives and how it relates to other subjects such as music, art, etc. For example, I talk about the golden ratio and how it relates to music in episode two. It is very surprising that you can find maths in music and vice versa.
2. What made you want to create a podcast?
Everything comes from a magazine article. Many years ago when I was in Primary, I read about the relationship between maths and our daily lives. It has been my ambition for many years and I am now happy enough with my English level to record the podcast. Through this podcast, I can share my thoughts and feelings about this topic.
3. Does your podcast relate to anything at BSG?
Each podcast also talks about news at BSG and connects to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Maths). It can remind students about upcoming events. Obviously now it is talking about maths, but in the future it is possible that it will talk about other parts of STEAM.
4. How did you make your podcast?
I first planned the theme of the season, then I did research on a topic. After I decided what topic I was going to talk about in each episode, I created the script for each one. I wanted each episode to be around five minutes long, and it took about a week to write and practice. After I did the preparation, I recorded each episode in the BSG recording studio with Mr. Parker. When I recorded the first season, I then made a logo and met the BSG marketing department to publish it. In total, it took me about 9 weeks to complete.
5. What is the future of 'ERIC=MC2'?
It is an ongoing podcast — I don’t want it to have an end. I want it to keep developing as far as it will go and to talk about different topics each season. In the near future, I want someone to join me so I won’t be alone.
