My name is Roslyn McConnell and I am looking forward to starting my new teaching role within our Early Years team. I have over 20 years’ teaching experience and have worked in the UK, Thailand, Qatar and BSG. Having the opportunity to work with our nursery students this year is very exciting, setting-up lots of opportunities to foster a love for exploring, creating and inquisitive learning through active and engaging play. Play is essential for every child’s development, building their confidence as they learn to explore, relate to others, set their own goals, and solve problems. It’s going to be a wonderful year for us all in EY.

I joined BSG 4 years ago with my husband Paul, who is the Head of Secondary School. With our two daughters currently studying Primary Teaching in the UK, we have now found ourselves with time to explore and enjoy China. Outside of school, running, reading, cycling and trying to increase my understanding of Mandarin will be my focus this year.
