Roslyn McConnell

Director of Physical Education

BA(hons), PGCE

My name is Roslyn McConnell and I am thoroughly looking forward to starting my new role as Director of Sport within the BSG community. I have over 20 years’ experience teaching Physical Education and have worked in the UK, Thailand, Qatar and now BSG. Sport and physical activity are vitally important to help maintain our health; increase our self-confidence; improve our mental well-being and ultimately, it’s great fun to be active. Having the opportunity to be part of such a vibrant school whilst lead a very experienced PE department, is a great honour and I love being fully immersed in the sporting life of the school.

I joined BSG with my husband Paul, who is the Head of Secondary School. With our two daughters currently studying Primary Teaching at Brighton University, we have now found ourselves with time to explore and enjoy China. Outside of school, running, reading, cycling and trying to increase my understanding of Mandarin will be my focus this year.
