My first 9 years of teaching were in the UK, during which time I also held the role of International Leader, successfully completing two ‘British Council’ Comenius applications, which provided funding for pupils and staff to travel across several European Countries to exchange educational experiences. I successfully led my school towards achieving the International School Award, which enhanced the global dimension of the curriculum and equipped the pupils with additional skills in preparation for future employment.
I am also a recognised student mentor by the University of Sussex, having supported other trainee teachers in completing their training. My numerous roles held in schools, include Phase leader, Curriculum Coordinator and House Captain. My favourite setting within the school environment is in the classroom, teaching the children and seeing them flourish, as they take pride in their achievements.
My last teaching post was in Thailand, where I had a chance to explore a brand-new culture and be part of a large and vibrant Nord Anglia International School. I am now thrilled to be part of the British School of Guangzhou family, and as I embark on a new adventure in China, I cannot wait to discover more about this amazing country and its people.
