University Degree: Bsc Computing, PGCE
Having graduated from university in 2005, I worked in the IT industry providing IT support to a number of large organisations including the UK headquarters of Barclays bank as well as the European headquarters of Kelloggs. In 2012, I completed my teacher training course with Teach First before moving to Qatar and more recently Egypt where I taught GCSE ICT, GCSE Computer Science, A-level Computer Science as well as the IB Diploma Computer Science course.
I strongly believe the most gifted Computer Science students can work with those taking their first steps in Computer Science - and both students and teachers can work together to learn and create successful, lifelong learning experiences that can inspire, boost confidence and enhance the wellbeing of all students in the school community.
I will be moving to China with my wife and two daughters. Having previously lived in the Middle East for a number of years, we are looking forward to experiencing life in Guangzhou whilst also working at what we truly believe is an outstanding school.
I am a huge fan of football and support the mighty Manchester United. I'm looking forward to watching some Chinese Super League matches in Guangzhou. Furthermore, I am very much a family man and take great pleasure in spending time with my family - we are very much looking forward to exploring Guangzhou and China.
