A student learning in our STEAM programme

Wow! Mr Shaun is going to MIT!

Mr Shaun teaching

We know the difference that great teaching makes to your child's success at school. This is why NIS International School Jakarta and Nord Anglia Education provide extensive professional development opportunities for our teachers to ensure our students benefit from contemporary educational thinking and practices. As part of Nord Anglia Education’s  partnership with Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), 50 teachers from our family of schools are invited to attend a summer workshop at MIT in Boston. This is a fantastic opportunity for our teachers to learn from the best and to plan exciting experiences for our students in the field of STEAM ( Science, Technology, Arts, Maths, Science, Mathematics).

I am delighted to inform you know that Mr Shaun Rhodes has been selected to attend this year’s MIT training taking place in June 2018. This opportunity will allow him to engage with colleagues from schools around the world, learn from professionals at one of the world’s leading educational institutions, and return with knowledge and skills to benefit the staff and students at NIS. It is wonderful professional development opportunity for Mr Shaun and we are very excited about the student challenges and STEAM projects he will bring back for us to launch here at NIS Jakarta in August 2018.
