BVIS U15 FOBISIA Games

26 November 2015

BVIS took a team of 20 students to the FOBISIA Friendly Games last weekend here in HCMC. This was BVIS’s first sporting FOBISIA event and it really was a new, but fantastic experience.  Schools came from Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand to compete making these games a truly international sporting event.

The first day of events saw the teams compete in athletics in the morning and then swimming in the afternoon. This is where the BVIS team were most successful winning a range of bronze, silver and gold medals.

The second and third day sports were basketball and football. Although many students were hot and tired BVIS did extremely well and battled to the very end. The boys’ football team came away with a second place trophy for their hard effort.

In all this event was truly amazing and students loved every minute of it. Students got the chance to make new friends from a wide range of countries and further build on their confidence and independency skills.
