Under 19s Suffer Penalty Heartbreak

31 March 2017

The under 19 boys entered two teams into this year's city championships, but still failed to achieve that elusive trophy.

Both teams started poorly, the B team losing 1-0 to EIS and the A team 2-0 to an ishmc team they should have easily beaten.

They picked themselves up though, and the A team comfortably recorded a 2-0 win against AmIS whilst the B team destroyed SSIS 4-0.

In the semi finals, the A team now faced EIS and despite dominating the game could only secure a 1-1 draw. In the other semi, the game followed the same pattern with the B team drawing 0-0 against ishmc.

Both matches went to a penalty shoot out, but neither team could win leaving ishmc to win overall.

A and B played one another in a good spirited 3rd/4th play off match with As coming out on top to finish off an excellent season with some great performances.
