Mathematics Competition

19 May 2017

Last Saturday we sent 3 teams of 3 KS3 students each to the Junior Saigon Maths Competition at CIS. Competing against the best 80 students from across Saigon we saw a strong performance in the individual rounds from Pham Bao Nhu (7V), Tran Quang Dang (9B) and Nguyen Minh Ky (8V) who all finished in the top 15. In the team events our Year 7 team consisting of Leo, Subin and Nhu performed especially well in the Puzzle Round finishing 4th. Overall the Year 8s finished 6th, the Year 7s 9th and the Year 9s 13th. Well done to all students involved and we hope to take these results forward into next years Saigon and SEAMC competitions.
