Celebrating our sporting achievements is very important at The International School of Moscow. At Krylatskoe Lower Campus, we enjoy our annual Swimming Showcase event, led by our Physical Education team.

Four year groups, spread over four days competed for winners’ medals and showed their parents what they have learnt over the course of this half-term.

Within each year group, there are three swimming groups: The Stingrays, The Dolphins and The Sharks. Each level trains and learns in a different way, depending on the children’s experience, technique and stamina. Our main focus is for the children to be competent in the freestyle and backstroke races, as well as giving them some free time to relax and play with their friends in the water afterwards. In Years Three and Four, there were medals for the race winners and the fastest boy and girl in their group.  With Year One and Two, the race winners and the fastest child in each group would receive a medal.

Parents really showed their support for Physical Education and our swimming curriculum by attending the events in huge numbers. Our children really enjoyed the Swimming Showcases. They swam with smiles on their faces as their parents and friends watched from the side and cheered them on.

Everyone finished a winner. We are immensely proud of our children’s hard work and the magnificent progress that they have made.
