The new term started with a bang at The International School of Moscow. Our students, having returned from their winter holidays, arrived to find an exciting challenge waiting for them from our Principal, Mr Keach - designing the school of the future.

Our students rose to the challenge, using all their abilities in Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Maths to develop their futuristic ideas. All across our school, students were coming up with exciting concepts, from ecological school buildings to robot teachers! Our Nursery classes even came up with some innovative robot and transport designs.

Elsewhere in the school, students were busy designing roads and transport systems - coding their own self-driving vehicles to make their way around the school grounds. Many students thought that sustainability should be a key element, designing buildings, water filters, mini-greenhouses, and even wind turbines!

After a talk from a local expert in clothes manufacturing, students carefully selected materials with qualities that suited their needs, and made their own school uniforms. Meanwhile, other children redesigned our school menu, even diving into the world of plant-based diets as a way to improve health and be more considerate to the environment.

During STEAM week, our classes were challenged not only to rethink education but also to develop their creativity, resilience, critical thinking and collaboration. All our students demonstrated that the future is in capable hands.
