At Krylatskoe Lower Campus, our return to school in January means only one thing in PE – ice skating!

Our Development Team worked hard during the winter break to build our wonderful campus ice rink. Now that the students are back from the winter holidays, Years Two, Three and Four are participating in ice skating during their daily PE lessons.

Not only are some of our Year Two students learning to skate for the very first time this academic year, but our teachers as well, with Mr Rix and Ms Qian learning the fundamentals of this traditional winter sport.

It was a fantastic chance for our students to see that even adults find things difficult when learning, but with persistence and resilience, anyone can acquire new skills and achieve success. In the coming weeks, our students will develop, refine, and perfect their skills on the ice before taking part in our annual Penguin Ice Skating Cup. We can't wait to see their efforts later this winter.

With yet another fantastic year of ice skating at The International School of Moscow, the PE Team on Krylatskoe Lower Campus cannot wait to see some excellent creative performances throughout this term.

Well done to all our wonderful skaters.
