In Pre-Nursery, maths is part of everything we do! The children have been counting how many children are in school, finding numbers on a cash register or telephone, cutting dough balls in half, filling containers and emptying them, stacking shapes or cars, completing puzzles, and noticing shapes when singing the shape song—“I’m a circle, I go round and round.”
