Dear Parents,

A Positive Start to the New Term

The first few weeks of term have been a wonderful opportunity for our children to settle into their new classrooms, establish routines, and build relationships with their teachers and classmates. It has been pleasing to see the confidence and enthusiasm with which pupils have embraced the start of the academic year.

Across the school, children have quickly adapted to new expectations and learning environments. Classrooms have been busy with engaging learning experiences, opportunities for collaboration, and activities designed to help pupils feel safe, supported, and connected.

We are proud of the resilience, positivity, and kindness that our students have demonstrated as they begin their learning journey this year.

We would also like to thank parents for their ongoing support during this important transition period. The partnership between home and school plays a crucial role in ensuring a successful start to the year for every child.

Uniform

Please remember to check that your child is wearing the correct uniform on the correct day. Our uniform fosters a sense of community and belonging, and a sense of pride in who we are as a school.

Please check the uniform policy above to check the expected uniform especially the following:

• Trainers are only to be worn on PE days
• Trainers should be white or predominantly white
• School shoes should be black leather and all black colour
• Uniform socks should be black or school issued socks

On regular uniform days, only uniform socks should be worn.

School Closure Due to Red Rain and Optional Home Learning

Last week, the school closure due to the Red Rain Warning required a sudden change to our normal routines. We appreciate the flexibility and understanding shown by our families during this time.

To support continuity of learning, optional home learning activities were made available for students to access at home. These activities were designed to provide meaningful opportunities for practice and exploration while recognising that families may have different circumstances during inclement weather events.

We thank parents for supporting their children with these learning opportunities and helping them remain engaged with their studies.

Parent-Teacher Meetings This Wednesday

We look forward to welcoming parents to our Parent-Teacher Meetings taking place this Wednesday. These meetings provide an important opportunity to discuss your child's transition into the new school year, celebrate successes, and identify next steps for learning and development.

To provide flexibility for families, meetings will be offered in a hybrid format, allowing parents to choose either an in-person meeting at school or a virtual meeting online. We encourage all families to attend and take advantage of this valuable opportunity to strengthen the partnership between home and school.

We thank you for your continued support and look forward to working together to ensure a successful and rewarding year for every child.
