KSM's Got Talent

KSM's Got Talent This term we enjoyed some fantastic performances at Kings Got Talent 2018.

It all started back in December when students began preparing their audition pieces. Auditions took place when we returned to school in January and we had the tough task of choosing the semi-finalists.

Ms Formento and Mr Fazakerley were very impressed by the high quality shown at the audition stages. Many students had clearly worked very hard on their audition pieces, and the bar was set high from the start. Performances included soloists, duets, gymnasts, artists and dancers.

I would once again like to thank the parents for guiding and supporting their childs performances throughout Kings Got Talent. The semi-finalists then performed in a closely fought contest to earn a place in the final. Ms Wright, Mr McGuiness and Ms Bryce superbly judged the event and had a very difficult job indeed.

The judges and audience watched in awe as all participants gave it their all, again showing their ambition to take their place in the final. With limited places in the final the judges deliberated and eventually settled on the 10 finalists.

The final took place on the final Friday of the half term, again expertly judged by Ms Wright, Mr McGuiness and Ms Bryce who gave their feedback after each performance. The many talents on display once again wowed students, staff and parents.

In a closely fought contest such as this it was very difficult indeed to pick the winners, but after some deliberation our judges made their decision. Nigel from Year 2 won the Year 1-4 category with his performance of Zombie, and the sister combo of Noreesh and Nureen won the Year 5-9 category with their dance and singing performance.

The overall winner of Kings Got Talent 2018 went to Yana in Year 4 with her fantastic performance of When Im Gone from the movie Pitch Perfect.

A big thank you to all that made this event a success students, staff and parents.

Well done to all participants, and we look forward to repeating this event next academic year.
