At Nord Anglia International School Manila, we believe children thrive when they feel part of a strong community. That’s why we bring parents together — to connect, share experiences, and feel at home in the NAIS Manila family.

A Morning of Connection and Community

The Parents Mix & Mingle was a joyful morning that brought our families closer and strengthened our community spirit. Conversations flowed, friendships grew, and our sense of community became even stronger.

More than just a social gathering, it reflected our ongoing commitment to a vibrant and engaged parent community because when parents are connected and supported, students thrive, and our whole school flourishes.

Why are events like Parents Mix & Mingle important for the parent community at NAIS Manila?

"Events like Parents Mix & Mingle are so valuable because they allow us to meet and connect with the entire school community - teachers and fellow parents, in a relaxed, informal setting. It's a chance to interact not just with parents from our child’s class, but also with those from senior grades, giving us the opportunity to learn from their experiences, hear their insights, and better understand the journey ahead. These gatherings help us see each other as individuals, beyond just ‘a particular child’s parent,' and foster deeper, more meaningful relationships. These connections help new families feel welcomed, deepen the partnership between home and school, and ultimately create a positive, inclusive environment that benefits our children. Most importantly, events like this inspire a stronger sense of community and shared purpose, encouraging us all to contribute more actively to the school as a whole."

As a new parent who has just moved to Manila with two primary school children, Parents Mix & Mingle has been especially meaningful for our family. Uprooting from one country to another, settling into a new school, and adjusting to an entirely different curriculum can feel quite overwhelming at first. This event has offered us so much more than just an introduction—it has given us a warm, welcoming space to connect with other families, ask questions, and begin building the friendships that truly help us feel at home.

What I value most is the genuine sense of community it creates. Meeting other parents who understand this journey makes the transition feel lighter, and it reassures me to know that we are not navigating this alone. Just as importantly, it helps my children see that school is not only about academics but also about belonging to a caring, supportive environment. We are deeply grateful to NAIS Manila for creating opportunities like this, which make settling in such a positive and comforting experience.

 Building a Thriving Parent Community

Both new and returning families took part, sharing stories and building relationships that extend well beyond our campus. Events like the Parents Mix & Mingle show how NAIS Manila lives its mission: fostering connection, trust, and shared purpose to help every child and every family thrive. Because when parents are part of the community, they’re not just supporting their own children — they’re helping shape the culture of the school.
