Learning with Purpose: The International Primary Curriculum Now in Action at Nord Anglia International School Manila
At Nord Anglia International School Manila, learning is designed to be purposeful, connected, and engaging. We are proud to share that the International Primary Curriculum (IPC) is now being implemented and marking an important milestone in our learning journey. Built on a clear and structured learning process, the IPC is designed to keep children motivated and actively involved in their learning. It supports the development of knowledge, skills, and understanding while encouraging students to make meaningful connections across subjects and apply their learning in real-life contexts.

Where Learning Becomes Meaningful
The International Primary Curriculum brings learning together in a way that feels purposeful, engaging, and relevant for children. At NAIS Manila, it builds on the strong foundations of the English National Curriculum while encouraging students to think deeply, ask questions, and make meaningful connections across subjects. Designed to support both academic learning and personal development, the IPC helps children grow in confidence, curiosity, and independence, equipping them with the skills and understanding they need to navigate an ever-changing world.
Entry Points: Bringing Learning to Life
A defining feature of the IPC is the use of Entry Points. These carefully planned experiences introduce new units of learning in engaging and memorable ways, helping children understand the purpose behind their learning from the very beginning. As our Primary students began their IPC journey, classrooms were alive with discussion, collaboration, and exploration. From hands-on experiences like chocolate tasting to creative challenges involving designing and building model structures, students were encouraged to ask questions, test ideas, and learn together. In Year 3, students launched their unit on forces with a lively tug of war, providing a practical and engaging way to explore key concepts while promoting teamwork and critical thinking.
What has been most exciting about seeing the International Primary Curriculum now being implemented at NAIS Manila?

Entry Points play an important role in supporting deeper learning. By creating meaningful starting points, they help students make connections across subjects, develop inquiry skills, and see how their learning extends beyond the classroom. These experiences set clear expectations and give children confidence as they move forward in their learning, ensuring each unit begins with clarity, purpose, and enthusiasm.
