Every Wednesday at BSB Sanlitun is Waste Free snack day, children are encouraged to bring in snacks with no packaging which supports the UNICEF Global Goal 12 Responsible Consumption and Production.
By choosing snacks that have no packaging our children gain a better understanding of how we can take action together to reduce our waste and protect our environment.
As you can see from the photos of our children enjoying their snacks, examples of waste free snacks can include: fruit and vegetables, cheese cut from a block, slices of bread or sandwiches not in foil. These types of snacks not only help us reduce the amount of waste we generate but they are often a healthier choice too.
