Kicking is a very useful tool to develop coordination between the foot and the eye. Kicking a stationary object or kicking a moving object, foot dribbling and trapping are all components of striking with the foot. Kicking is a manipulative skill frequently used in many sporting activities. Activities that use the skill of kicking include rugby, soccer, Gaelic football and Australian rules football.

Some Key Stage 2 children will take part in football invitationals held by BSB Shunyi in October. BSB Sanlitun will send students from Year 5 and Year 6 to play in the Nord Anglia Global Games U11 Football Competition in Nanjing in a few weeks.
