We celebrated Farsang on Thursday, 12th February , our students and teachers dressed up and made noise walking around the school to frighten the winter away

Farsang season starts on 6th of January and lasts until Lent – which is the 40-day fasting period before Easter.

Farsang is a Carnival season in Hungary when people dress up in costumes and wear masks to celebrate the end of winter and welcome Spring.

During Hungarian Culture in Year 3 we were designing masks for Farsang...

We had many Spidermans, fairies and princesses around the school some of our students created their own costume
